Salary Submissions
When you submit salary information, we collect:
- Job role and title
- Salary and compensation details (base salary, bonuses, benefits)
- Years of experience
- Location (region only, not specific address)
- Work arrangement and company size bracket
- Optional satisfaction rating and notes
We do not collect your employer name, specific workplace address, or any information that could directly identify you or your employer.
Account Information
If you create an account, we collect your email address and password (encrypted). This is used solely for authentication and to link your submissions to your account for management purposes.
Usage Data
We collect standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This helps us improve the Service and detect misuse.
2. How We Protect Salary Data
We take the anonymity of salary contributors seriously:
- Aggregation thresholds — Salary statistics are only displayed when sufficient submissions exist to prevent individual identification
- No employer identification — We never collect or display employer names
- Regional data only — Location data is limited to broad regions, not specific cities or areas
- Secure storage — All data is stored securely with encryption at rest
- Access controls — Only authorised personnel can access raw submission data, and only for moderation and quality purposes

We use collected information to:
- Generate aggregated salary statistics and reports
- Improve the accuracy and coverage of salary data
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or spam submissions
- Provide account features (submission history, saved comparisons)

The Service is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
